Stanislas Seny
Ferme du Hesbain
The farm is located in a small village near the city of Hannut. It’s typical of the Hesbaye region, with square buildings dating from the 17th century. Stanislas has been running the farm for over 30 years, with the help of local independent labourers and temporary staff. Three years ago, part of the farm was converted to organic agriculture, with around 60% of the total surface area irrigated and used to grow vegetables and potatoes for the fresh-food market. The flat landscape features low-density woodland and is surrounded by grass strips that provide a refuge for insects and local small wildlife.
